Onyeme Commends City Boy Movement For Grassroot Mobilisation

The Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme Ph.D., has commended the City Boy Movement for its commitment to grassroots mobilization and support for the administration of President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Onyeme made the commendation on Thursday when he received members of the City Boy Movement to his hometown, Ibabu, Onicha-Ukwuani, Ndokwa West Local Government Area of the state.

He described the initiative as a timely and strategic platform designed to strengthen the party and deepen public support for government policies and programmes.

The Deputy Governor expressed appreciation for the group’s dedication and willingness to champion the cause of the party across Delta State.

He assured members of the movement of continuous support from party leaders.

Sir Onyeme who described the efforts of the President towards the establishment of state policing as evidence of the President’s commitment to addressing longstanding national challenges,
emphasized that the activities of the City Boy Movement extend beyond politics, noting that the initiative is helping to build leadership capacity, confidence and organizational skills among young people.

He commended the members for taking the initiative to organize themselves and contribute meaningfully to society rather than waiting for opportunities to be handed to them.

Deputy Governor Onyeme thanked the group for consulting local leaders before embarking on their grassroots engagements and wished them success as they continued their sensitisation campaign across communities in Delta State.

Speaking at the event, the State Coordinator of the the City Boy Movement , Hon. Innocent Esewezie expressed appreciation for the Deputy Governor’s continuous support and commitment to the APC and the development of Delta State.

The coordinator noted that the Deputy Governor’s willingness to receive the delegation despite his busy schedule demonstrated his dedication to the party and the people of the state.

According to him, the City Boy Movement was established to promote the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu and mobilise grassroots support across Delta State.

“We are here to fish for men for our President and for our party.

“Everyone here is already a supporter of Mr. President, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and the APC.

“Our mission is to reach those who are still sitting on the fence and convince them of the need to support the Renewed Hope Agenda,” he said.
