RIVERS 2027: Bishops And Gospel Ministers Association Of Nigeria Endorse Dumo Lulu-Briggs For Governor

The candidature of Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs, the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC Rivers Governorship candidate for the 2027 elections, has continued to attract critical and impressive endorsements from diverse sections across the state’s ethno/religious and socio-cultural/political ecosystem, the latest of which is the Bishops and Gospel Ministers Association of Nigeria, who visited the NDC State Party secretariat recently, with the specific intention to physically register their unalloyed support for the NDC Rivers Guber candidate and officially endorse Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs as their preferred choice for the Governor of Rivers State, in 2027.

The Bishops and Gospel Ministers Association of Nigeria delegation declared unequivocally that their support for Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs was uncompromising and founded on divine conviction, adding that this is the first time the Association has visited a governorship candidate to express such support, and it will be the only one, because God is not the author of confusion.

According to the Bishops and Gospel Ministers Association, a major factor which reinforced their conviction was Chief Dumo’s demonstrable record of sacrificial service to humanity, diligence, an independent mind, and the capacity to nurture little beginnings into great accomplishments, amongst other humanitarian and positive life impacting service to the people.

They then expressed their conviction that the NDC Rivers Guber candidate will do even more for the people, if God grants him the privilege of serving as Governor of Rivers State in 2027.

Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs captured the sacred endorsement of the Bishops and Gospel Ministers Association of Nigeria on his verified social media handles thus:

AS 2027 DRAWS NEAR, THE AWAKENING IN RIVERS STATE GAINS MOMENTUM

Today, in my capacity as the Governorship Candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Rivers State, I was privileged to receive the sacred endorsement and support of the Bishops and Gospel Ministers Association of Nigeria ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

The clergy described their support for me as uncompromising, founded on divine conviction. According to them, this is the first time the Association has visited a governorship candidate to express such support, and it will be the only one, because God is not the author of confusion.

They explained that a major factor reinforcing their conviction is my journey: a demonstrable record of sacrificial service to humanity, diligence, an independent mind, and the capacity to nurture little beginnings into great accomplishments. They expressed their belief that, if God grants me the privilege of serving as Governor of Rivers State, I will do even more for our people.

Once again, this visit affirms what I have consistently maintained: the awakening in Rivers State ahead of the 2027 elections is gathering unprecedented momentum. It is a movement that transcends the understanding of mere mortals and the conventional political calculations often deployed during electioneering seasons.

I therefore agree wholeheartedly: this is the hour that has come for Rivers State, and indeed Nigeria, to experience liberation.

The truth is that we cannot continue to stand by and watch one individual determine the future of an entire people, arrogating to himself a place that belongs to God alone. We must rise and say, clearly and unequivocally: Enough is enough! It is time to unbind Rivers State and set her people free.

I told the visiting clergy that the progress of Rivers State remains trapped in the dirty politics of a few who have little or no interest in the welfare of our people. These individuals have formed what can only be described as a rainbow coalition against Rivers State and her people. Nothing more, nothing less.

I charged them, as ministers of the Gospel, to take this message to the hearts and minds of Rivers people: if God has promised that we shall be the head and not the tail, then we must rise to claim that promise. We must not allow those working against our collective progress to keep us subdued. It is time to rise and reclaim what rightfully belongs to us: our place as the head and not the tail.

I sincerely thanked the Association for finding me worthy of its support and endorsement. I assured them that I would never take their confidence for granted and would remain committed to the expectations they have placed in me. I also pledged not to disappoint them when I assume office as Governor of Rivers State in 2027.

To God be the glory.
