It was a moment of joy and celebration at the Delta State Security Trust Fund (DSSTF) as the Board, Management and staff marked the 60th birthday of the Chairman of the Board, Hon. Daniel Mayuku, Esq.
The celebration, which brought together members of the DSSTF family, featured goodwill messages, prayers and expressions of appreciation for the chairman’s leadership and contributions to the organisation.
An elated Mayuku expressed gratitude to the Board, Management and staff for the surprise gesture, saying he was deeply touched by the celebration.
The chairman said he did not envisage that the DSSTF family would organise such a celebration in his honour, adding that the gesture demonstrated the bond and camaraderie within the organisation.
Congratulating Mayuku on attaining the milestone age, the Executive Secretary of the DSSTF, Rt. Hon. Samuel Osasa, described him as a “jolly fellow” who consistently looks out for the welfare of people around him.
Osasa said the chairman deserved all the goodwill and best wishes that accompanied the celebration, praying for continued strength, wisdom and fulfilment in the years ahead.
A member of the DSSTF Board, Sir David Onokpe, also felicitated with Mayuku, praying God to grant him many more years in good health.
Similarly, the only female member of the DSSTF Board, Mrs. Ofonyeadi Ndudi, wished the chairman a gracious birthday celebration and prayed that he would enjoy the good things life has to offer.
The birthday activities had commenced earlier with a Birthday Golf Kitty held at the Ibori Golf and Country Club, Asaba.
The tournament attracted guests and members of the DSSTF family and featured goodwill speeches, the cutting of birthday cakes, presentation of gifts to the celebrant and prizes to winners in various categories of the competition.
The event also featured refreshments for guests, adding colour and conviviality to the celebration of Mayuku’s 60th birthday.
The celebration provided an opportunity for members of the DSSTF family to honour their chairman while acknowledging his leadership and wishing him a fulfilling new chapter of life.
