Delta Govt Announces Economic And Investment Summit 2026, Targets Jobs, New Investments

The Delta State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to expanding the state’s economy through strategic investments, announcing that all is set for the Delta State Economic and Investment Summit 2026.

Speaking during a press briefing, the Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads) and Public Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, said the summit will bring together investors from within and outside Nigeria to explore opportunities across key sectors.

Aniagwu said the strong support from corporate sponsors reflects growing confidence in Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s transparent and accountable leadership, adding that the summit will feature distinguished global and national speakers to advance conversations on investment and economic development.

The Commissioner also condemned the recent violence recorded during a political gathering in the state, describing attempts to misrepresent the incident as false and misleading. He reaffirmed the Oborevwori administration’s zero tolerance for violence and disclosed that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has directed security agencies to identify and prosecute those responsible.
