Hon. Ator Okolosi of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has emerged winner of the Udu State Constituency House of Assembly bye-election held on Saturday, September 19, 2026.
Okolosi was declared elected after polling 8,724 votes across the 10 wards of Udu Local Government Area, defeating the other candidates, Hon. Omonovie Esther Evurhehre of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Hon. Orugbo George Biatere of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), according to the result announced and his declaration as winner by the Returning Officer at Otor-Udu, the headquarters of Udu LGA.
The election was conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to fill the Udu Constituency seat in the Delta State House of Assembly, which was declared vacant constitutionally by the Delta Legislature, on June 30th 2026, following the defection of the previous member, Hon. Collins Egbetamah from the ruling APC, to the Nigeria Democratic Congress NDC.

INEC had also scheduled bye-elections in four states, across the country and Okolosi Ator’s victory in the Udu bye election, was replicated by the APC in the legislative bye elections conducted across Gombe, Kano, Bauchi and Delta states respectively on Saturday, September 19, 2026.
