The Leader of the 8th Assembly and member representing Aniocha North Constituency, Hon. Engr. Emeka Emmanuel Nwaobi, has formally obtained the All Progressives Congress (APC) Expression of Interest and Nomination Form to contest in the party’s forthcoming primary election.
The development sparked jubilation among his supporters, who expressed readiness to mobilize support for his re-election bid ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking after obtaining the form, Nwaobi pledged to sustain the vibrancy of the Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA) if returned to the House in the 9th Assembly. He assured constituents of his commitment to strengthening legislative processes, promoting good governance, and attracting greater democratic dividends to Aniocha North.
He noted that his focus remains on effective lawmaking and responsive representation that address the needs and aspirations of his constituents.
It would be recalled that the Delta State House of Assembly has, in the past, been recognized as one of the most vibrant state legislatures in Nigeria, a reputation it continues to uphold.
Political observers maintain that Nwaobi has delivered credible representation since his election and retains strong prospects heading into the next electoral cycle.
