NIGERIANS MUST WORK AS A FAMILY TO OVERCOME INSECURITY – Defence Minister Musa

The Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (retd), has said that for Nigeria to overcome insecurity in every part of the country, Nigerians must work together as a family to eliminate all evil forces.

He explained that there is a need for justice, stressing that it brings progress and development to every community.

Speaking at the 2025 At Yap buffet held in his honour, the minister said: “My duty is to secure the territorial integrity of Nigeria. Communities in Kaduna State, North West, have faced a lot of challenges. There is a need to urgently address these issues for Nigerians to lawfully undertake their duties for improved standards of living and a better society.”

He added that mistakes have been made in the past, assuring that from now onwards, they are determined to make peace in the interest of all in society.

The minister stated that the days of threats to the lives of Nigerians are over, pointing out that the enemies of the state are not sleeping and will not rest until they are completely dealt with.

The “Yap buffet in honour of General Musa”, also known as the Agwatyap’s Buffet (or At Yap buffet), is an event, which has been held on multiple occasions to honor General Christopher Gwabin Musa (retd).

The event which was hosted by the Agwatyap (the traditional ruler of the Atyap people), currently Agwam (Sir) Dominic Gambo Yahaya, was held at the Agwatyap’s Palace in Atak Njei, Zangon Kataf, Kaduna State, Nigeria.

The buffet is a reception and a way for the community to show respect and honor the General for his service and leadership, particularly as a prominent figure from Southern Kaduna.
