
The Super Eagles of Nigeria will face Mozambique in the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) round of 16 fixtures.
The fixture was confirmed on Wednesday night following Mozambique’s 2-1 loss to Cameroon, which consigned the Mambas to finish third in Group F.
Mozambique, however, sealed qualification stage as one of the four best third-placed teams in the group stage.
Hosts Morocco take on fellow North Africans Algeria, while defending Champions Cote D’Ivoire (Ivory Coast) will lock horns with West African neighbors Burkina Faso.
Cameroon and South Africa, both former winners of AFCON, will trade tackles in one of the eargerly anticipated round of 16 clashes in this year’s tournament; Mali meets Tunisia, and Egypt will battle Benin Republic, in the two West Africa against North Africa matches.
Tournament favorites Senegal will have Sudan to contend with while DR Congo against Tanzania complete the Round of 16 fixtures
