‎FCT Strike Suspended As NLC, TUC Reach Truce With Wike, After Midnight Marathon Meeting

The conciliatory meeting, which was brokered by the Chairman of the Senate Committee on FCT, Senator Mohammed Bomoi, began at 11:45 PM on Monday and stretched until nearly 4:00 AM this morning

‎four key agreements were reached to end the deadlock:

‎1. Comprehensive Review: Every complaint raised by the Joint Union Action Committee (JUAC) was “fully addressed” during the session.

‎2. No Victimization: The Minister guaranteed that no worker would face disciplinary action or victimization for participating in the strike.

‎3. Legal Ceasefire: All pending litigation at the National Industrial Court (NIC) related to this dispute will be withdrawn immediately by both parties.

‎4. Future Engagement: Minister Wike assured organized labor of mutual respect and sustained engagement to prevent future breakdowns in communication.
