
The conciliatory meeting, which was brokered by the Chairman of the Senate Committee on FCT, Senator Mohammed Bomoi, began at 11:45 PM on Monday and stretched until nearly 4:00 AM this morning
four key agreements were reached to end the deadlock:
1. Comprehensive Review: Every complaint raised by the Joint Union Action Committee (JUAC) was “fully addressed” during the session.
2. No Victimization: The Minister guaranteed that no worker would face disciplinary action or victimization for participating in the strike.
3. Legal Ceasefire: All pending litigation at the National Industrial Court (NIC) related to this dispute will be withdrawn immediately by both parties.
4. Future Engagement: Minister Wike assured organized labor of mutual respect and sustained engagement to prevent future breakdowns in communication.
