

ASABA: Media aides to Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborewori met in Asaba to review performance and strengthen coordination in government communications, officials
The strategy session brought together aides from across government offices to align messaging and improve the projection of the administration’s policies, programmes and achievements. Discussions focused on professionalism, speed, accuracy and innovation in information delivery.
Delta State Commissioner for Public Information Charles Aniagwu said coordinated communication was essential to governance, describing the media as a critical channel for shaping public perception and delivering accurate information in real time. He said the Oborewori administration prioritises strategic communication to promote transparency, accountability and public trust.
Aniagwu urged aides to adopt modern media tools, digital platforms and data-driven approaches, stressing that timely and precise reporting helps counter misinformation and bolster public confidence.
Participants also discussed the governor’s leadership style and development agenda, highlighting what they described as an inclusive approach to governance. The meeting included feedback and knowledge-sharing aimed at building a more responsive media team.
The session ended with a commitment by aides to work collectively to improve efficiency and support the administration through clearer, consistent communication on governance and development in Delta State.
