COUPLES ENJOINED TO KEEP THEIR MARRIAGE SACRED

Couples have been enjoined to keep their marriage sacred, respect each other and forgive one another.

Rev. Fr. Augustine Nwaefiene gave the admonition during the marriage celebration between Burlington and Esther at Saint Joseph Pro Cathedral Asaba, Delta State.

Rev. Fr. Nwaefiene also charged couples not to allow third party in their marriage. He assured the couple of God’s favour, blessings and fruitfulness in all areas of their endeavours.

The officiating Priest who in his homily, cited the Bible books of Genesis, John and Galatians, emphasized the importance of marriage pointing out how Jesus Christ performed his first miracle at a marriage gathering at Galilee where he turned water to wine and also, when God noticed man was lonely in the biblical account of Genesis, God decided to make woman from the rib of man and admonished them to go into the world and multiply.

The high point of the wedding solomnisation was the administration of marriage rites and exchange of wedding rings by the couple while the Priest charged them to love each in good and in bad situations.

The couple later entertained invited guests at a reception.
