Ebie, in a related development sent consignments of rice to APC Ika North-East & Ika South via the Party Chairman.

The distribution was made on Monday in Agbor during a meeting with strategic leaders of Delta Unity Group (DUG), a frontline political pressure group in the state.

The gesture which was in the spirit of the yuletide season was aimed at promoting unity, shared celebration and inclusivity among the people of Ika nation.

Recall that in June, this year, during the celebration of the muslim festival, Eid-el-Kabir, Ebie had made a similar distribution to the Muslim community in Agbor, Delta state. He had given bags of rice, rams among other items to the muslim community.

The items were handed over to Muslim faithfuls on behalf of the NDDC Chairman, by Hon. Hilary Fada Ibude, Chairman of the All-Progressive Congress (APC) in Ika South, alongside Hon. Evelyn Efeh, Personal Assistant to the NDDC boss. The distribution took place amidst joyous celebrations, with beneficiaries expressing gratitude for the timely support during the festive period.

Speaking on behalf of the Hausa community, Sarki Hausawa, Alhaji Ibrahim Ghali, praised Mr. Ebie as an exceptional politician and technocrat who has positioned himself as a beacon of change and progress in Nigeria. He also commended Hon. Ibude for his longstanding support, recalling how he donated a borehole and generator to the Uromi Junction Mosque during his tenure as Ika South Local Government Chairman.

Alhaji Ghali said it was not the first time they were receiving such kindness from the leaders recalling that the muslim community had consistently received donations from leaders in Ika which showed that they care about all residents, irrespective of religion or tribe.

In her remarks, Hon. Evelyn Efeh had explained that the distribution was part of Mr. Ebie’s tradition of fraternizing with the Muslim community during Sallah celebrations.

She said the NDDC Chairman believed in fostering peace and harmony, and this gesture was a testament to his commitment to inclusive development, urging the Muslim community to continue promoting unity and peaceful coexistence in Ika land and beyond.

Ebie’s Christmas donations to the Ika Federal constituency and his June sallah donations to the Muslim community in Agbor highlight his urbane, cerebral and tribalised nature.

The gestures represent the importance of interfaith solidarity in nation-building and coexistence.

The NDDC Chairman’s gesture serves as a reminder that true leadership transcends ethnic and religious lines, fostering a society where no one is left behind.
