The African Democratic Congress (ADC), Delta State Chapter, on Monday held a closed-door strategic meeting of its State Executive Committee at the PTI Conference Centre, Effurun, as part of preparations for the forthcoming party Congress.
The meeting, which took place yesterday, was presided over by the State Chairman of the party, Mr. Barbar Ebimowei, and was strictly attended by members of the State Executive Council (EXCOs). Participation was limited to duly elected state executive members, underscoring the seriousness, discipline, and strategic importance of the engagement.
Addressing the executives, Chairman Barbar Ebimowei stressed the need for unity, internal cohesion, and strict adherence to the party’s constitution as the ADC moves closer to its Congress. He described the forthcoming Congress as a defining moment for the party’s consolidation, structure, and future political direction in Delta State.
According to him, the Congress must reflect the core values of the African Democratic Congress—internal democracy, transparency, and fairness—while assuring members that the state leadership is fully committed to delivering a credible, peaceful, and hitch-free process.
Members of the State EXCOs engaged in extensive deliberations on critical organizational matters, including Congress guidelines, timelines, internal coordination mechanisms, and strategies for strengthening party structures across the state. Discussions also covered compliance with national party directives, mobilization efforts, and measures to safeguard the integrity of the Congress.
Several executive members made contributions during the meeting, collectively reaffirming their loyalty to the party and pledging total support to the state leadership to ensure the success of the forthcoming Congress.
The meeting ended with a shared resolution by the State Executive Committee to work in unity, uphold party discipline, and present a strong, united front as the ADC Delta State Chapter prepares for the next phase of its internal democratic process.
The African Democratic Congress continues to position itself as a credible alternative political platform in Delta State, with its leadership reiterating commitment to grassroots development, inclusive politics, and people-oriented governance.
