SDGs Summer Camp: NAPPS Delta Hails Inclusive Governance, Pledges Deeper Collaboration

The National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools, NAPPS, Delta State Chapter has expressed deep appreciation to the Office of the Special Assistant to the Governor on Sustainable Development Goals.

In a letter dated 19th August 2026 and signed by the State Chairman, Mrs. Precious Young, the Association commended the SDGs Office for giving it a slot at the recently concluded One-Week Delta State SDGs Summer Camp.

According to the letter addressed to Lady Diana Eyo-Enoette, the Special Assistant to the Governor on SDGs, NAPPS was also privileged to serve as Resource Persons during the International Youth Programme segment of the camp.

Mrs. Young described the gesture as a demonstration of recognition and trust in the role of private school proprietors in shaping young minds across the state.

She noted that the opportunity allowed the Association to contribute meaningfully to building a generation of SDG Champions in Delta State.

The NAPPS Chairman said the invitation reflects the commitment of Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori to inclusive governance.

Mrs. Young added that it also shows the administration’s determination to mainstream children and other critical stakeholders in the drive to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

She emphasized that involving private schools in state programmes strengthens the partnership between government and education stakeholders at the grassroots.

Mrs. Young further stated that the experience at the summer camp has inspired members of the Association to do more in promoting quality education and global goals in their schools.

The Association reaffirmed its readiness to work closely with the SDGs Office to advance SDG 4, which focuses on Quality Education and pledged support for the implementation of other SDGs across private schools in Delta State.

The State NAPPS Chairman commended the SDGs Technical Consultant, Augusta Impact Keneboh for contributions towards the realization of the sustainable development goals in the State.

NAPPS Delta expressed optimism that the collaboration with the SDGs Office will be sustained and expanded for greater impact in the education sector.

The Association however, prayed for the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and for the success of the SDGs agenda under the present administration.
