Elumelu Distributes 600 Bags of Rice, Other Gift Items to Constituents to Mark 2025 Christmas

Immediate past Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, OON, has distributed 600 bags of 50kg rice alongside other gift items to constituents across the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency as part of activities marking the 2025 Christmas celebrations.

The distribution, aimed at easing the economic burden on families during the festive season, saw 100 bags of rice allocated to each of the four local government areas that make up the constituency, while an additional 200 bags were shared among sons and daughters of Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency. The gesture was designed to ensure that as many families as possible could celebrate Christmas with joy and dignity.

Speaking during the outreach, Elumelu noted that leadership is best demonstrated through service, compassion, and empathy, particularly at a time when families come together to celebrate and reflect. He explained that the initiative went beyond the distribution of food items, describing it as a way of sharing hope, promoting unity, and strengthening the spirit of togetherness that defines the Yuletide season.

Elumelu also extended warm Christmas wishes to the people of the constituency, reaffirming his untiring dedication to their welfare, inclusiveness, and sustainable development.

Beneficiaries and community leaders drawn from wards and communities across the constituency expressed appreciation for the timely intervention, describing it as a clear demonstration of people-centred leadership and responsive representation.
