BREAKING: APC Successfully Screens Oborevwori, 10 Sitting Governors Ahead Of Party Primaries

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Screening Committee has successfully screened 11 sitting governors seeking re-election ahead of the party’s forthcoming primaries.

The committee, chaired by the APC National Chairman, Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, with the APC National Secretary, Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, serving as Secretary, conducted the exercise on Friday, May 8, 2026.

The Governors screened were:

1. Gov. Abba Yusuf – Kano State
2. Gov. Inuwa Yahaya – Gombe State
3. Gov. Nasir Idris – Kebbi State
4. Gov. Caleb Muftwang – Plateau State
5. Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia – Benue State
6. Rt. Hon. Francis Nwifuru – Ebonyi State
7. Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori – Delta State
8. Gov. Umar Bago – Niger State
9. Gov. Dauda Lawal – Zamfara State
10. Sen. Bassey Otu – Cross River State
11. Gov. Ahmed Aliyu – Sokoto State

The screening exercise is expected to continue on Saturday as the APC intensifies preparations for its primaries.
