Rivers ADC Chairman-Elect, Dimkpa, Hails Supreme Court Judgment On Party’s National Leadership, Urges Members To Be United, Disciplined, Focused, Peaceful

Chief (Engr.) Dr. Chukwudi Dimkpa, State Chairman-Elect, ADC Rivers State

Rivers State African Democratic Congress ADC, Chairman-Elect, Engr. Dr. Chukwudi Dimkpa, has called on party faithful and supporters to be united, disciplined, focused and peaceful, as the party continues to strengthen and consolidated it’s position and structures, ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Engr. Dimkpa made this clarion call in a message to Party supporters, following the April 30, 2026 judgement of the Supreme Court, which vacated the “status quo ante bellum” order of the Appeal Court that prompted the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to de-recognize the David Mark-Led ADC National leadership, thus compelling the electoral body to restore leadership back to the Mark-Aregbesola Exco.

The Rivers ADC Chairman-Elect, reacting to the Apex Court’s judgement, said that the Supreme Court had not only brought much-needed clarity to the leadership issues within the party, It was also a reaffirmation that the rule of law remains the foundation of the country’s democracy and that due process will always prevail.

“For us in ADC, this is not just a legal development, it is a moment of renewed strength, unity, and forward movement.
Now, the distractions are giving way to purpose”, Engr. Dimkpa noted in his message.

STATEMENT TO ADC SUPPORTERS

My dear leaders, members, and supporters of the African Democratic Congress (ADC),
I bring you good news.

The recent judgment of the Supreme Court has brought much-needed clarity to the leadership issues within our great party. It is a reaffirmation that the rule of law remains the foundation of our democracy and that due process will always prevail.
For us in ADC, this is not just a legal development, it is a moment of renewed strength, unity, and forward movement.
Now, the distractions are giving way to purpose.

THE TASK BEFORE US
With this clarity, our focus is clear:
To strengthen our structures across all LGAs, wards, and polling units
To welcome more persons into our growing movement
To prepare diligently and strategically for the elections ahead
And to offer a credible alternative that truly reflects the hopes of our people
Let me say this clearly:
ADC is not just participating, we are preparing to lead.

A CALL FOR UNITY AND DISCIPLINE
I urge every member and supporter to remain:
United in purpose
Peaceful and law-abiding
Focused on the bigger goal
This is the time to close ranks, strengthen our bonds, and move forward together as one family.

THE MOMENT IS NOW
Across Rivers State and beyond, the message is growing louder:
People want a new direction. People want credible leadership. People want change.
And that change is possible, through us.
Let us rise with confidence, work with discipline, and move with purpose.

A New Rivers State is Possible. A Better Nigeria is Within Reach.

Arise and Shine.
