ADC Rivers Women Wing Meet In Port Harcourt

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) Women Wing in Rivers State today, Friday, April 24, 2025, held a successful familiarization meeting at the Party Secretariat, 118 Woji GRA, Port Harcourt.

The meeting, led by the State Women Leader, Rt. Hon. Engr. Irene Kaladappa Jumbo, brought together women leaders from all Local Government Areas across the state.

In her address, Rt. Hon. Engr. Irene Kaladappa Jumbo charged ADC women and leaders of the Women Wing to remain united, fearless, and committed as they work towards the 2027 general elections. She emphasized the importance of teamwork, loyalty, and collective responsibility, urging members to put aside bias and focus on victory.

According to her, “ADC must be on the ballot paper come 2027,” stressing that the women will stand firmly with whoever emerges as the party’s flag bearer, as well as all ADC candidates.

The outgoing State Chairman, Amb. Leader Sampson, also addressed the gathering, highlighting the need for unity and love within the party. He pledged his continued support to the women and encouraged them not to relent but to work cooperatively with the State Women Leader-Elect.

In his remarks, the Chairman-Elect, Dr. Engr. Chukwudi Dimpka, aligned with the position of the women, urging them to sustain unity and love while actively promoting the party’s agenda.

He particularly emphasized the importance of grassroots mobilization and increased membership registration as key strategies for the party’s success.

The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of ADC women in Rivers State to strengthening the party’s structure and working collaboratively to achieve electoral success in 2027.
