Senator Ned Nwoko of Delta North Senatorial District has officially declared his intention to seek re-election to the Senate, reaffirming his commitment to continued representation of his constituents.

Nwoko made the announcement while speaking to journalists at the airport upon his arrival in Asaba, where he was accompanied by former Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege.

The duo received a rousing welcome from a large crowd of supporters.

Reacting to the reception, Nwoko described it as a reflection of the strong bond and mutual understanding he shares with the people.

He noted that his performance in the Senate has been driven by his dedication to amplifying the voices of his constituents and addressing their challenges.

“The people know me, and I know them. I understand their needs and I am committed to solving their problems,” he said.

The senator also pledged his support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, expressing confidence in the President’s leadership and achievements at the national level.

“I will work for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu because he has done well. I believe in Mr President and his performance so far,” Nwoko added.

Highlighting ongoing developments, Nwoko disclosed plans to upgrade the Federal College of Education, Asaba, into a Federal University, describing it as a strategic move to boost educational opportunities in the region.

He urged constituents to remain steadfast and resist a return to what he described as “old politics,” emphasizing the need for continuity and progressive governance.

On the issue of Anioma State creation, Nwoko aligned himself with the position of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, noting that Akpabio’s stance represents the official position on the matter.
