
Her Excellency, late Maryam Babangida, Dr Ngozi Olejeme and two others were given an uncommon award of recognition by the Asaba Development Union (ADU) for what they described as their uncommon impact and resilient in putting Asaba on the path of rapid development.
The President General of the Asaba Development Union Dr. JeanRose Nwanne Amaka described both Maryam Babangida and Dr. Ngozi Olejeme as a role model that Asaba women are looking up to to be like them.
According to her, growing up in my early years I have always looked up to them and admire them and desire to make impact in the lives of humanity like they have done. And this Award of recognition is just to acknowledge them and to challenge others that the world is watching our actions she said”
Dr. Amaka praise Ngozi Olejeme for her leadership role, community Mobilisation and developmental strides, saying Asaba has benefitted from the human development impact of Dr. Ngozi Olejeme, assuring her that the people of Asaba will continue to appreciate and acknowledge her developmental impact”.

The Asagba of Asaba who spoke on the need to discard obsolete traditional culture expressed the need for women to be given their pride o place and enjoy inheritance without discrimination as obtainable in more advanced nation rather than relegating women despite their capacity. He outlines various developmental strides he has accomplished since his inception as the Asagba of Asaba to include distribution of dialysis equipment to Federal Medical Center in Asaba and the Asaba Specialist Hospital, building of School, Scholarship, Community leadership, Security of lives and properties as well as forthcoming empowerment of 100 Asaba indigene by this weekend.
While thanking the Asaba Community for recognizing her impact and contributions to community and human capital development, Dr. Ngozi Olejeme drum support for President Bola Tinubu and Sheriff Oborevwori, Governor of Delta State, calling on all Nigerians to support and pray for them to make more impact. She dedicate the award to God Almighty who kept her alive to see her people recognizing her impact, with an assurance to continue to stand by the Asaba community and Deltans in general.

The Inaugural Annual lecture and Award Ceremony, which took place at the Mariam Babangida Women Develop Center, opposite CBN in Abuja, was attended by the Asagba of Asaba HRM (Prof) Epiphany Chigbogu Azinge. Executive members of the Ohaneze Ndigbo world wide lead by the President General Senator John Azuta Mbata, Chief Mrs Faith Majemite, Captain of industries, Religious leaders, Asaba indigene and the representative of Her Excellency, late Maryam Babangida, Mrs Aisha Abu, program Coordinator better life for rural Women among other Awardees.
