APC Re-elects Chinye As Aniocha North Chairman In Consensus Congress

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State has re-elected Sir Mathew Chinye as Chairman during a peaceful and seamless Local Government Congress held on February 21, 2026, at the party secretariat in Issele-Uku.
Chinye and 27 other executive members were returned by consensus in line with party guidelines. The exercise was conducted by party officials from Asaba and monitored by INEC officials, security agencies, and journalists.

Among the executives elected are Mrs. Dorothy Udeh (Vice Chairman), Okeleke Andrew Akalaka (Secretary), Jude Nwani (Youth Leader), Margaret Monye (Woman Leader), Emmanuel Ikenwa (Organising Secretary), Oba Julius (Treasurer), Emmanuel Eboh Jnr. (Financial Secretary), Efrem Owezie (Legal Adviser), and Chukwuka Okolo (Publicity Secretary), alongside other officers and ex-officio members. Chief Nkem Okwuofu, Chief Barr. Ada Kachikwu, and Sir Vincent Ugbelase were also elected as National Delegates.

In his acceptance speech, Chinye thanked party leaders and members for their confidence and pledged to promote unity, inclusiveness, and progress in advancing the party’s fortunes in Aniocha North.

Party leaders at the event commended the peaceful conduct of the Congress and urged the new executive to run an all-inclusive administration.
