
Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara has directed the people of the State, particularly eligible voters in Ahoada East and Khana Local Government Areas, to participate actively in the bye -election scheduled to take place in the two constituencies tomorrow, Saturday February 21, 2026.
A statement by signed Onwuka Nzueshi, Chief Press Secretary to the Rivers Governor, disclosed that Sir Fubara, who gave the directive at Government House, Port Harcourt, described the election as a family affair and urged the people to come out en-mass to support the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) contesting for the two vacant seats in the State House of Assembly.

Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara has directed the people of Rivers State, particularly eligible voters in Ahoada East and Khana Local Government Areas to participate actively in the bye -election scheduled to take place in the two constituencies tomorrow, Saturday February 21, 2026.
The governor who gave the directive at Government House, Port Harcourt described the election as a family affair and urged the people to come out en-mass to support the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) contesting for the two vacant seats in the State House of Assembly.
Governor Fubara charged the people to remain peaceful and law abiding throughout the exercise.
“Everybody should be law abiding and avoid doing anything that will disturb the peace during the exercise. It is actually a family election and there is no need for rancour and acrimony,”he said.
