HRM Asagba Prof. Epiphany Chigbogu Azinge SAN, OON, recieved in audience, the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP in the 2023 general elections, Mr. Peter Gregory Obi and his entourage at the Asagba’s Palace, on Friday, February 06, 2026.
According to HRM Asagba Azinge, Mr. Peter Obi has been a family friend and brother for about 30 years or more and Nna Agu appreciated Okwute Igbo (as Mr Peter Obi us fondly referred to in some quarters), for stopping by his palace, regardless of the former presidential candidate’s busy daily engagement.
“All we can say is that you are a good man,and if given the opportunity,we can also say without equivocation that you will offer good leadership at any point in time,” the revered Asagba of Asaba enthused.
The Monarch thanked Mr Peter Gregory Obi for stopping at the palace, describing the visit as a fidelity of friendship and an honor to Asaba people and the Palace.
Earlier, Mr. Peter Gregory Obi thanked HRM Asagba Azinge SAN, for the warm reception accorded him and his team, even as he emphasized that the visit was nothing more than cordial paying of homage to show respect and regard for the highly respected Monarch.
Mr. Obi further pointed out, in his remarks, that the monarch remains an outstanding elder brother doing well for Asaba Community, which he said must be given all the necessary support to succeed.
